Prius was among the first hybrid cars to hit the market, the main advantage of hybrids is that they give great fuel economy. • Fuel gauge- some drivers have also reported the fuel gauge failing or giving incorrect readings. If this occurs, it means you will not know when running out of fuel and the best thing is to repair or replace it.

One common question most car buyers ask is, will the hybrid battery be a problem in a Prius? According to Toyota, the battery should last up to 240,000 kilometers mileage or up to 10 years. However, most people have reported getting great service beyond 15 years but there are still some cases where the battery dies before the 10 years mark.
